While orthodontists and general dentists can both provide clear aligner therapy, orthodontists have received an extra 2-3 years of comprehensive training following dental school so that they are specialized in moving teeth. For these reasons, we recommend consulting an orthodontist to identify a proper orthodontic treatment plan.
